FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What time are check-in and check-out? 

Check-in time is between 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. If you are delayed, please call to confirm the time of arrival. Check-out is 11:00 a.m.

When is payment collected?

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Is there a minimum night stay?

A two-night minimum is required during peak season (June 28 - September 4) stay.

How many people can stay in one room?

All of the Carter House rooms are equipped with queen beds and accommodate a maximum of two (2) guests. Manitoulin Teepees is happy to accommodate families. The Salmon Run and Wolf's Den teepees can accommodate a maximum of four (4) guests. For the Salmon Run & Wolf's Den, please bring a sleeping bag for the trundle beds. Sheets will be provided.

Is it shared bathrooms?

Each room in the Carter House is equipped with an en-suite. The guests in Manitoulin Teepees have a shower house.​

Is breakfast included for Manitoulin Teepees?

Breakfast is included for all our guests. Adult-only teepee guests (18+) will enjoy breakfast inside The Carter House. To maintain the adult-only atmosphere of The Carter House, families, including parents with children, will be served a continental breakfast in the teepee bunkee and can be enjoyed together in the teepee area.

Is there a minimum age requirement to stay at The Carter House?

The B&B accepts guests over 18 years of age. The exception to this rule is if the entire inn is booked by one party.

Is there a minimum age requirement to stay at Manitoulin Teepees?

Manitoulin Teepees are excited to offer families a unique place to stay.

Are pets allowed? 

Although we love our furry friends, no guest pets or animals are allowed on the premises.

Do you do weddings and events?

The Carter House Bed and Breakfast is able to hold small events for registered guests of the Inn, or you may reserve the property for a group or group event. Please contact Kelly at 705-207-7667 for details, fees, and booking requirements.

Do you sell alcohol?

We are not licensed to sell alcohol but as a guests, you are welcomed to bring alcohol.

Do you do romantic extras?

Prior arrangements can be made for flowers, candy, chocolate or other romantic extras to be placed in your room for that special occasion.

Are gift certificates available? 

Gift Certificates are payable in full when they are ordered non-refundable, not redeemable for cash and are subject to room availability.
