BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY
The owners of The Carter House B&B welcome guests from around the world to our unique, spacious and pristine Bed & Breakfast in Kagawong, ON. To ensure an enjoyable and comfortable stay for all, we ask that you review and follow our policies.
The Carter House Bed and Breakfast is able to hold small events for registered guests of the Inn, or you may reserve the Inn for a group or group event. Please contact the Innkeeper for details, fees, and booking requirements. Group events may require the entire Inn and/or part of the Inn to be booked, as well as a Use of Space Fee will be applied. A minimum fee for Use of Space for small events begins at $500 and may increase based upon needs and time requirement. Small Wedding Use of Space fees begin at $750 and may increase based upon needs, and time requirement. Maximum occupancy for any event held at the Inn, whether outside or inside, is 14. The Innkeepers reserve the right to determine whether the entire Inn will need to be booked, based on the size and type of your event. All event and use of space deposits are non-refundable. Please refer to our Group Reservation/Cancellation Policy for details regarding cancellation.
Group Reservations/Cancellation Policy:
A group reservation is when parties who are traveling together book two or more rooms at the same time, for the same period of time. Upon booking your stay, we will process 50% of your stay/reservation total. This amount is non-refundable and will be forfeited upon cancellation at any time and for any reason. Thirty (30) days prior to your arrival, we will bill the balance of your reservation/stay. At this time, cancellation of your stay for any reason will result in the forfeit of your entire payment regardless of the date and time of the cancellation, or whether we are able to re-book the room. A credit toward a future stay will not be provided. We regret that no exceptions will be made to this cancellation policy.
A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation.
All rooms sleep (Queen beds) a maximum of two (2) guests. We do not accept guests under the age of 21. Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on the property.
As a small business with just four guest suites, it is imperative that we protect our business and ensure that we can offer quality service to our guests. The guest can cancel free of charge up to 7- days prior to arrival minus a $50 administration fee. The guest will be charged for the first night per room (including tax) if they cancel within 7- days prior to arrival. Please be aware of this policy when booking your stay. If a gift certificate/gift card is used for your stay, the value of the certificate may be retained to cover the cancellation fee and/or entire cost of the reservation.
Minimum check-in age is 21. Check-in is between 4 – 6 p.m. If you are delayed, please call to confirm the time of arrival. Check-out is 11:00 a.m. sharp. We will be happy to hold your luggage after you have checked out.
PAYMENT & DEPOSIT:
Rates are in Canadian $$$ and not include HST. VISA, Master, or Cash accepted. We do accept USD. Please check with hosts for current exchange rates. We also accept EMTs. Deposit is required when reservation. Guest will be charged a deposit of the first night (including tax) after reservation.
ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:
While we will do our best to accommodate our guests, please note that we need your cooperation. Should you have any allergies OR Dietary Requirements, please note them on your online reservation form AND inform your hosts when you arrive.
No pets OR animals are allowed in our Inn.
SMOKING & BURNING
There is no smoking anywhere inside the B&B. This includes any type of vapor pipes, electric cigarettes, tobacco or cannabis.
ROMANTIC EXTRAS - Prior arrangements can be made for flowers, candy or other romantic extras to be placed in your room for that special occasion.
GIFT CERTIFICATES - Gift Certificates are payable in full when they are ordered non-refundable, not redeemable for cash and are subject to availability. Gift Certificates will expire five (5) years from the date of purchase.
As a guest in our private residence, we are not licensed to sell alcohol, but you are welcome to bring alcohol.
Parking may be available as we have limited onsite parking (4 spaces available – first come, first served), plus ample on-street parking.
Thank you for staying at The Carter House B&B. We ask that you respect our home during your stay. We expect regular wear on bedding, carpets, etc., and we replace them routinely when they show normal wear so that our guests are comfortable.
Extraordinary cleaning of stains on carpets, towels, damaged sheets, pillowcases, robes and duvet covers will be charged for. Should we not be able to remove stains left behind, we reserve the right to charge minimum CAD $150 for replacement of the article damaged.
ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLINESS & RECYCLING:
This property recycles all plastics & paper. Recycling bins are provided in each room for plastic bottles, used coffee pods, papers etc., etc., We also encourage you to use your towels, linens and toiletries in an environmentally friendly manner.
