The owners of The Carter House B&B welcome guests from around the world to our unique, spacious and pristine Bed & Breakfast in Kagawong, ON. To ensure an enjoyable and comfortable stay for all, we ask that you review and follow our policies.

 

OCCUPANCY:

The Carter House: All rooms sleep (Queen beds) a maximum of two (2) guests. We do not accept guests under the age of 21.

Manitoulin Teepees: All teepees sleep (Queen beds) a minimum of two (2) guests. The Wolf's Den and Salmon Run do accommodate up to four (4) guests. Families are welcomed at Manitoulin Teepees. 

 

CANCELLATIONS

As a small business with, it is imperative that we protect our business and ensure that we can offer quality service to our guests. The guest can cancel free of charge up to 14- days prior to arrival minus a $50 administration fee. The guest will be charged for the first night per room (including tax) if they cancel within 14- days prior to arrival.  Please be aware of this policy when booking your stay. If a gift certificate/gift card is used for your stay, the value of the certificate may be retained to cover the cancellation fee and/or entire cost of the reservation.

 

CHECK IN/CHECK-OUT

Check-in time is between 4 p.m.-8 p.m. If you are delayed, please call to confirm the time of arrival. Check-out is 11:00 a.m.  

 

MINIMUM STAYS

During our high season, we do require a two-night minimum stay. 

 

PAYMENT

Rates are in Canadian dollars and do not include HST. VISA, Master, or Cash accepted. We do accept USD. We also accept EMTs. Full payment is taken at the time reservation.

 

ALLERGIES & DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

We will do our best to accommodate our guests. Should you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please note them on your online reservation form and inform your hosts when you arrive. Please note, breakfast is not included for our teepee guests.

 

PETS

No pets or animals are allowed on the premises.

 

SMOKING & BURNING

Smoking is not permitted in any of the structures on The Carter House/Manitoulin Teepee property. Canabis is not permitted anywhere on the property. There may be exceptions to burning (i.e. smudging). 

 

ROMANTIC EXTRAS

Prior arrangements can be made for flowers, candy, chocolate or other romantic extras to be placed in your room for that special occasion. 

 

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift Certificates are payable in full when they are ordered non-refundable, not redeemable for cash and are subject to availability.  Gift Certificates will expire five (5) years from the date of purchase.

 

ALCOHOL

We are not licensed to sell alcohol but as a guests, you are welcomed to bring alcohol.

 

PARKING

Free parking is available. 

 

DAMAGES

We ask that you respect our home during your stay. We expect regular wear on bedding, carpets, etc., and we replace them routinely when they show normal wear so that our guests are comfortable.

Extraordinary cleaning of stains on carpets, towels, damaged sheets, pillowcases, robes and duvet covers will be charged for. Should we not be able to remove stains left behind, we reserve the right to charge minimum CAD $150 for replacement of the article damaged.

 

EVENTS/GROUP/WEDDING BOOKINGS

The Carter House Bed and Breakfast is able to hold small events for registered guests of the Inn, or you may reserve the property for a group or group event. Please contact Kelly at 705-207-7667 for details, fees, and booking requirements.
